Today we began to read and analyze the short story called The Yellow Wallpaper. It seems interesting so far although I had a hard time in the beginning getting into it.
We had a fun twist to class, we did kahoot and quizizz tests dealing with Macbeth. People who won first place were rewarded with chances to gain small Points for assignments.
We further discussed certain things of the play Macbeth. Mr. Rease gave us plenty of questions to discuss, this helped us have more understanding and knowledge of what the play truly represented.
We finished reading Macbeth finally and it turned out to be a very good play. We then applied our new found knowledge to Ap literature test topics. We worked in groups and brainstormed different topics from past years.
We did a fun activity to create our own story. The class actively participated in choosing character setting and much more then we proceeded to write the story. But the end of class we continued reading Macbeth.
We started our new scenes today it was very fun overall and everyone did very well. Creativity was different for everyone. The entire process was interesting coming up with characters planning out the lines and music; everything had to be placed correctly. With only one day to plan and perform we can only imagine how much more could have been done with more time. I have clipped my groups performance with this blog post.
We got into groups today and we were assigned different scenarios that happened in Macbeth. Generally we had to come up with our own new version of the scene along with being creative in other ways. We will start presenting tomorrow.
Today in class we were finally able to continue reading on into Macbeth. We complete the entirety of act two and this was the moment of the big action. Attached below if ye assignment we received upon finishing the reading.
Today we received our new rubric on how Ap test essays will be graded. Mr. Rease throughly explained everything along with examples on how to use this new information. For the rest of class we finished act one of Macbeth.
We started reading Macbeth today and parts were assigned. I got to be the narrator and others had to face the point of getting into character to help with the reading. The scenes so far are quite short but they are also informative. Where we have gotten to today I am intrigued and ready to read more.
We spent our time today going over relations to 9/11. Seeing different perspective on America and Americans itself opened my eyes to the perceptions of our country.
Today we spent the whole class as an introduction to the play Macbeth. We did history from terms to background and I am actually ready to read tomorrow. I have read other Shakespeare plays such ass the tempest and a midsummer nights dream.
today instead of regular class we were busted by a South Alabama recruiter. It was very nice and intriguing because every time I talk to people from South I learn more and more new things about it. South is definitely one of my top schools especially if I decide to stay home for college.
Analyzing poems isn’t an easy task and today I saw that doing the same for sonnets is even harder. We worked in small groups to help one another and created and question and along with a paragraph answering our own question.
Now I spend my breath and time on you The first and last of trials have set the stage Do not turn and frown or look so blue Finally it is your chance to turn the page I like the way your smile says hurray I want you to see all your potential worth Let your heart scream out a, long good day I’m sure the world knows of all the hard work Do let your mind run wild and reach a thrive So always remember not to let your mind swell You want to dance and celebrate your rise No-more will your feelings fill like a well And know your only limit may be the stars Please do reach for them way past mars
We had an assignment to create our own sonnet. I realized that it was definitely not an easy task. Trying to use he right amount of syllables, connecting the rhyme scheme and much more. It also make me wonder how actual poets came to create the sonnets that they made and what was their process to doing so.
We were introduced to the structure of poems today. It was most definitely some things I’ve never heard of before. Overall, I can say it isn’t my strongest point as of right now ,but I am willing to work more with it and do better.
