Today we wrote our essays on the novel the color purple. I feel a little confidence in mine sand I was able to finish ahead of time. I hope that I did better than my last essay.

We read one letter today then we prepped for our essay we have tomorrow. We were on a shortened schedule so we had less time. Overall we did an example of an essay Prompt along with the entire class working to write a claim and commentary to go along with it.

A Letter from Celie Dear God,    In town today I came across the reverend and a little girl. I felt ache in my heart. She was mine. My daughter. Olivia was the name I wanted for her. Why did Pa take her away from me? And the boy my little boy. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been to keep them. What if I had never got big? My mind feel heavy.

Today’s class subject brought students into the mind of characters in The Color Purple. We were all given different characters and had to complete an assignment. We had to use STEAL to characterize our person and we had to write a letter from their perspective. The next blog I post will be the letter that I wrote.

We did more analyzation from our fences essays. Today we did the isis statements and grammar corrections. After that of course, we proceeded to read more into the book the color purple.

A while ago we all worked essays ln the play fences. To our discovery they were not very well, being so Mr Rease took time in class to talk about our thesis that we used and analyze evidence. They were mostly false saying a lot about how well attention people are paying when reading.

We did an overview of the letters we read in the book from yesterday along with answering a few questions. Then we read more at the end of class.

Today we began to read the color purple. It honestly took me by surprise being that I have never read it not having a complete idea of what it is supposed to be about. Although I was shocked at first it is still very interesting to me and I am ready to read more.

Today in class we answered questions pertaining to three poems from Ben Johnson. They were on my first son song to Cellia and still to be. I was not present when the class read the poems but I was still able to go back and read to get an understanding of them. The questions were actually kind of difficult.

Today we took upon writing our own poems, just as we read about the poem mirrors. This was the foreshadowing that we would write our poems about objects. I ended up choosing my own headphones. The process was alright, I decided to rhyme which was easier for me than usual. Although I was successful I still could have written a better poem.
