We finished reading fences today and Mr. Rease gave us a group assignments on different scenes. We will present them on Wednesday.

    The I Have A Dream speech contains a number of rhetorical devices. Through the use of these writings, he was able to break through to the minds of many people and give a new outlook. Three devices he used that were important are metaphor, repetition, and antithesis.         Dr. King effectively uses metaphor throughout his speech. on page 1 line 7, he states "... millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. He is speaking for slaves who were affected greatly by injustice. Page 3 line 4 says," Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred". He wanted our people to not use hatred to solve problems in order to get freedom.         Repetition is a definite occurrence in the speech. Creative Class Proposal

             In high schools, there are a variety of things that other schools may share in common. There are even some schools that do not have common things. Thinking of things B.C Rain needs, yearbook class/club is an addition that is almost considerably vital. Students should be able to receive something that they can bring into the future to remember their years in high school.              In the minds of many students, they want a physical representation of memories. It would not only include photos, but events that year, clubs, and overall display of the school and its students. Also, with no yearbook, seniors' opportunity to have a senior quote is eliminated. Using the help of dedicated students who would like to join the committee, along with photographers and editors; the last worry would be cost and payments. This addition would help liven the schools' legacy to a higher extent.

Chapter 8 The Kite Runner

After readers learn what happened to Hassan in the last chapter, the glory continues on. Hassan and Amir are barely in contact as Hassan does his chores and locks himself away in bed. I could only imagine how bad he felt about himself and everything that happened. Meanwhile Amir was still spending his time lying to his family and Hassan’s about not knowing what was wrong with him. Amir was slowly being eaten alive with guilt. This pushed forward something new.
